FROM BRNO TO PRAGUE AND BACK: EARNING FIRST TRAVEL MILES

It was 4.15, pitch dark and I had no idea why mum was waking me up. Normally she makes me stay in bed for ages, must be something special happening today! Breakfast was all right but when she started squashing me into all those clothes, which I absolutely hate, I screamed my disagreement out loud. Right, I did not mind the carrier at all, it was quite nice to be close to her I must admit, and once we set off to the snowy dawn, I was quiet again.

Here we are, standing on the famous Charles Bridge with the Prague Castle just behind.

Hmmm, I think I must have fallen asleep and completely missed the travel on the very first morning train to Prague. Mum made me really sweaty, I told her it was too many layers she was putting on me! Gross!

Standing on the Old Castle Stairs.

The last change of transport and we were at the airport. We were waiting for someone for ages, their plane must have been delayed. I have to say it was getting really boring, I would have used something to eat and also there might have been something a little bit stinky in my pants which I did not like. But mum did not seem to be listening. She was carrying me from the board with flights to the super ugly Christmas decorations and back and she probably thought it was going to make me happy or something. No way!

One hour and two more litres of sweat later finally landed the plane from Zurich. Who was that strange looking guy with wild merino hair and long beard I did not know. But it felt nice when he was holding me so I decided to give him some smiles. It might seem to you a little bit unfair considering I was grumpy with mummy for most of my so far short life, but who cares, yes?

Anyway, two and a half months after I was born we were complete. Daddy was jetlagged after the 25-hour-long flight from the other side of the world and mum and I tired from early morning. It was time to lie flat and have some rest.

Later on we set off to explore Prague a bit. Daddy decided it was his turn to carry me in my backpack. Which was pretty alarming because even when all the buckles were loosen to maximum, I was sticking half-body out of the thing that is supposed to be sufficiently spacious for 3-year-olds! But he still felt nice and all the walking and heart beating made me so sleeepyyy... When I got up again the Christmas market was over and all the mulled wine gone. Damn! Anyway we went to bed early.

Next morning welcomed us to some beautiful sunny day, ideal for a walk. This time I managed to keep my eyes open long enough to see Vyšehrad and its famous cemetery. In the nearby cafe which looked like someone´s kitchen mum gave me my food and we were ready to go back to Brno. Now we had a special family compartment on the train only for us and I could be as loud as I wanted, yay!

The views from Vyšehrad towards the Prague Castle. Time will come and the little sleeping beauty will appreciate it as well.

I did my first 400 km and I was doing really well, wasn´t I, mum? I think I am ready to go international now :-).
